    Returns Policy

    We make returns hassle-free so that you can purchase with confidence.

    When you shop on Converse.com, you have 30 days after delivery to try your products on for fit, confidently knowing you can return (some exceptions apply*) for any reason within those 30 days.

    If it's been more than 30 days, you can still return your order for a full refund if the product is unworn and unwashed.

    All purchases made during the festive period can be returned for 60 days after purchase date.
    This is applicable to all orders placed between 11th November and 21st December.

    *Restrictions apply to a selection of Converse products that have specific written guarantees and/or warranties. Please read the label, hang tag or warranty card for specific guidelines and return information.

    Converse stands behind all of its products. If your product has a workmanship or material flaw, support is available depending on your place of purchase.

    How long does it take to process my refund?

    Converse will process your return and refund as quickly as possible after receiving your parcel.

    Refund timeframes are calculated from the time the parcel has been sent back to us until the refund is credited back to your bank account or credit card. Your bank may require up to five additional working days to process your refund. The maximum refund time is up to thirteen working days and in many cases much quicker.

    Can an order be shipped as a gift?

    Yes! You can ship an order as a gift and include a gift message, which will be printed out on a card and added to the box. In addition, if you choose to add a gift message, the invoice will be replaced by gift receipt (delivery note). At this moment, we are unable to offer gift wrapping.

    You can only use a credit card issued with a billing address in the country where you’re having your order shipped to. Your card must have a valid security code. Cash on delivery is not accepted.

    The Card Security Code (CVC/CVV/CID) is an additional three or four digit security code that is printed (not embossed) on the front or back of your credit card. The CVC/CVV/CID is an extra security measure to ensure that you are in possession of your own credit card.

    How do I use a promo code?

    Once you have chosen a product and size, simply add the product to your cart. Click on the cart to see your product and order summary. Enter your promo code and click apply. You will see your discount applied to the relevant products in your cart. Keep in mind:
    - Only one promo code can be applied
    - Some promo codes are for specific products only
    - “Limited edition” products are excluded from promo codes and discounts for the first 48hrs after launch
    - Products that are part of a “discount applied at checkout” campaign are excluded
    - The promo code must not be expired

    Gift Card Terms and Conditions

    By using your Converse gift card, you agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions, so we recommend that you read them carefully. These Terms and Conditions will be governed by the law of your country/region of residence.

    PURCHASING A GIFT CARD

    Physical gift cards are available for purchase in any Converse-owned Factory Store in the following countries/regions: Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and the United Kingdom.

    REDEEMING A GIFT CARD

    You can only redeem your gift card at a Converse Factory Store in the country where it was first purchased. You cannot redeem your gift card for any Converse.com purchases. You cannot exchange your gift card balance for cash or use the balance of the gift card to purchase another gift card. Upon redemption, any unused balance will be carried over for future purchases and will not be redeemed or exchanged for cash.

    EXPIRY

    Your Converse gift card has no expiry date.

    VIEW BALANCE

    You can check your Converse gift card balance in any Converse Factory Store in the country of your initial purchase.

    MULTIPLE PAYMENT METHODS

    The total order value for products purchased in-store with a gift card includes (i) the price of the product(s), (ii) value-added tax where applicable, and (iii) delivery charges where applicable. If the order total is more than the balance on your gift card, the remaining sum must be paid for by another accepted payment method or another gift card.

    The gift card balance will immediately be reduced following purchase.

    REFUNDS FOR PURCHASES MADE WITH A GIFT CARD

    If you return a product originally purchased with a gift card, any refund due to you will be returned to the gift card used or to a new gift card where the original gift card cannot be located. If you return a product originally purchased with multiple gift cards, the total refund due will be returned to the most recently purchased gift card. If you return a product originally purchased with multiple payment methods, any refund due will first be refunded to the payment method(s) used for the original transaction (e.g. credit card, debit card, or cash) up to the original amount due to that payment method, following which the remaining balance of any refund will be transferred to the gift card used or to a new gift card where the original gift card cannot be located.

    LOST, STOLEN, OR DAMAGED GIFT CARDS

    We cannot replace your Converse gift card without proper proof of purchase if it is lost, stolen, or damaged. Converse cannot be held responsible for any balance lost on a Converse gift card as a result of theft or fraud. Please contact us for more information.

    CONVERSE CANCELLATION

    Converse reserves the right to refuse, cancel or hold for review gift cards and orders where it is deemed necessary to do so, for example for suspected fraud, cards mistakenly issued in an incorrect denomination, or for other violations of the gift card policy.

    Select the Forgot Password link, which is located under the Password box. Enter your email address into the Password Reset box and click Send. An email will be sent to your email address, which will include instructions on resetting your password.

    How do I modify my profile settings?

    Log in and click on the Account Settings option. Select the tab Profile, Addresses or Subscriptions to modify these specific sections. After you make you changes, click Save to save your new settings.

    Converse.com registrants can unsubscribe from Converse.com communications or even delete their account. To delete your account, go to the Profile tab and at the bottom right, click the link Delete Your Account.

    What does Converse do with my information?

    When you visit the European Converse.com sites, we obtain personal information which you knowingly disclose to us. We request information when you make purchases ( which may include name, address, telephone number, email address, gender or credit card information), when you request to receive communications or when you register/sign up for a Converse.com account.

    If you sign up for a Converse.com account and you expressly opt-in to receive personalized communications by email or sms, we will use your personal information to create a user profile.     APPLICABILITY

    You are reading these Terms of Sale (“Terms of Sale”) because you are using a Converse website, digital experience, social media platform, mobile app, or one of our other products or services, all of which are part of Converse’s Platform (“Platform”). These Terms of Sale create a legally binding agreement between you and Converse and its affiliates (which we may refer to as “Converse,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) regarding orders placed for products available on the Platform. Converse may revise these Terms of Sale without notice by posting revised Terms of Sale on its Platform. The Terms of Sale posted on the Platform at the time you place your order on the Platform will govern that purchase.     PLACING ORDERS ON THE PLATFORM

     

    ELIGIBILITY TO ORDER

    To place an order on the Platform, you must be of legal age in your jurisdiction of residence and a consumer - not a reseller.

     

    NO PURCHASE FOR RESALE

    The Platform is intended solely for Converse to sell Converse products directly to end consumers, and therefore purchase of products for resale is strictly prohibited. Purchase for resale means the purchase of a Converse product by someone who resells, or intends to resell, the Converse product to others (consumers, businesses or any third party). If Converse believes you are involved in purchase for resale, Converse reserves the right to take any action against you, including, without limitation, to restrict sales to you, cancel your orders, and/or suspend or close your account.

     

    HOW TO ORDER

    You need an email address to place an order, and you may need to set your browser to accept both (functional) cookies and pop-ups in order to be able to use all the functionalities of the Platform, which includes designing customized items, adding items to your shopping cart, and submitting your order.

     

    When you submit an order, we will send you an email acknowledging receipt of your order. Our acceptance of the order takes place when the products are shipped to you - we will send you an email confirming that the products have been shipped (“Order Confirmation”). At this point a contract, containing these Terms of Sale, comes into existence and is binding on you and us (the “Contract”). We recommend that you print or download a copy of these Terms of Sale and the relevant Order Confirmation for future reference. If we are unable to supply you with a product, we will inform you of this in writing and will not process the order.

     

    Once your order is placed, you can check on its status at any time using the Order Status link on Converse.com. Use your order number (which can be found in your confirmation email), email address and billing zip code to sign into Converse.com for up-to-date info on where your order is in the process. When your order ships, we’ll send you a shipping confirmation email with tracking information – so you can follow your shipment every step of the way. If you have a Converse Account and were logged in when you placed your order, the order information will appear within your order history in Your Account.

     

    OUR RIGHT TO REJECT YOUR ORDER OR CANCEL A CONTRACT

    Fulfillment of all orders on the Platform is subject to availability. We explicitly reserve the right not to accept your order for any reason. We also reserve the right to cancel a Contract by written notice to you in the following situations, without being liable for any damage or costs other than repayment of any amount received from you in relation to the Contract we cancelled:

      the product is not available or in stock;

      your billing information is not correct or not verifiable;

      your order is flagged by our security systems as an unusual order or an order susceptible to fraud;

      we believe you are under the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction of residence;

      we believe that you are a reseller;

      there was an error in the price displayed on the Platform;

      we could not deliver to the address provided by you;

    DATA CHECK

    When you submit your order, we may run some checks on it before it is fulfilled. These checks may include verifying your address and checking for fraud. Suspected fraud on the Platform will be investigated and if necessary prosecuted.

     

    TITLE TRANSFER

    The risk of loss and title for products purchased from Converse pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier.

    PAYMENT PROCESSING

    Except with respect to pre-ordered or custom products, if you pay by credit/debit card, we will deduct the amount due from your account as soon as your order leaves our warehouse. Payments can only be processed if the billing information can be verified.


    PRICES AND CURRENCY

    The product prices displayed on the Platform are in United States dollars and the order total will include sales tax, as applicable. Shipping rates are applied per order. Because sales tax rates and rules vary by state and local jurisdiction, we apply sales taxes based on the shipping destination of your order. You’ll see the estimated taxes in your cart during checkout, and exact taxes will be calculated and charged at the time of shipping.

     

    YOUR TOTAL PRICE

    The total price specified in the final check-out screen includes tax and shipping costs. This price will be recorded in the Order Confirmation, which we recommend you print or download for future reference. If paying by credit card, the total amount for your entire order will be reflected on your statement.

     

    PRICE CHANGES

    The prices of the products will be as displayed on the Platform. Prices may change from time to time, but changes will not affect any order which we have confirmed in an Order Confirmation.

     

    PROMOTIONS

    Promotional codes are limited in nature, void where prohibited, and may expire or discontinue with or without notice. Promotional codes may not be copied, sold, or applied to prior or future purchases. They are not redeemable for cash and are subject to cancellation or change at any time for any reason.     SPLIT DELIVERY

    When possible, we try to deliver all items which you have ordered at the same time. However, please note that an order for customized products may result in split shipments. We reserve the right to split the delivery of your order, for instance if part of your order is delayed. In the event that we split your order, we will notify you of our intention to do so by sending you an e-mail to the e-mail address provided by you at the time your order was placed. You will not be charged for any additional delivery costs.

     

    INSPECTION UPON DELIVERY

    Upon delivery, please inspect the packaging for damage. If it appears that the products are damaged, please do not accept the shipment and contact Customer Service immediately.

    Free standard shipping is available for all orders over $50.00, or for all orders placed by Converse.com members. See the Shipping & Delivery section of the Platform for additional delivery rates for standard and expedited shipping.

     

    RETURNS & CANCELLATIONS

    CANCELLING ORDER BEFORE DELIVERY

    We do try to process all orders as quickly as possible, but we might be able to help if the order has not been shipped. Please check the status of your order first by visiting the "Order status" link at the top right of the Platform. If the status of your order is "Pending" or "On Hold" you may cancel your order by contacting our customer service. Our customer service agents will request a cancellation of your order at our warehouse. If successful, they will send you an email and the cancellation will be free of charge. If we’re unable to cancel your order, it will ship as scheduled. But don’t worry – you can return it for any reason within 30 days, free of charge. See details below.

     

    RETURNING ORDERS AFTER DELIVERY

    Whether you buy online or in-store, you may return your Converse.com purchase for any reason for a refund or exchange within 30 days of the date of delivery. After 30 days, Converse product must be unused, unworn, unwashed, and untreated to receive a refund or exchange. For in-store purchases, bring back your Converse products with your receipt for a full refund to the original form of payment. Converse product purchased from another authorized retailer or vendor cannot be returned to Converse.com or a Converse retail store.

     

    For online purchases, Converse.com offers free returns within the continental U.S. Just use the return label included in your shipment. If your order did not include a return label or if you’ve misplaced or discarded the label, you can get a new one in a couple of ways:

     

    • Simply enter your order number in the Order Status window.
    • Contact our Customer Service Team.
    • Or, you can always return your items to your nearest Converse store.

     

    We stand behind our products. If your Converse products contain a defect not caused by normal wear and tear, we want to know about it and more importantly, get you back in the game. If it's been longer than 30 days since your purchase was delivered, contact the Customer Service Team to discuss your options. You may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

     

    REFUND INFORMATION

    After we receive and process your return, we’ll send you a confirmation email and process your refund to your original form of payment within two business days. Please note that it may take up to 10 additional business days for your payment method to reflect the refund. Gift cards purchased on Converse.com are not refundable.     EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL

    An Event Outside Our Control means any act or event beyond our reasonable control, including, without limitation, strike, lock-out or other industrial action by third parties, civil commotion, riot, invasion, terrorist attack or threat of terrorist attack, war (whether declared or not) or threat or preparation for war, fire, explosion, storm, flood, earthquake, subsidence, epidemic or other natural disaster, or failure of public or private telecommunications networks.

     

    If an Event Outside Our Control takes place that affects the performance of our obligations under these Terms of Sale:

    a)    We will contact you as soon as reasonably possible to notify you; and

    b)    Our obligations under these general conditions will be suspended and the time for performance of our obligations will be extended for the duration of the Event Outside Our Control.

     

    If the Event Outside Our Control affects our delivery of a product to you, we will arrange a new delivery date with you after the Event Outside Our Control is over. In many circumstances, you may cancel the Contract if an Event Outside Our Control takes place and you no longer wish us to provide the products. Please see your cancellation rights under the Cancellations section above.

     

    OTHER IMPORTANT TERMS

    We may transfer our rights and obligations under a Contract to another organization, but this transfer will not affect your rights or our obligations under these Terms of Sale.

     

    You may only transfer your rights or your obligations under these Terms of Sale to another person if we agree in writing.

     

    Each of the paragraphs of this Terms of Sale operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect.

     

    If we fail to insist that you perform any of your obligations under these Terms of Sale, or if we do not enforce our rights against you, or if we delay in doing so, that will not mean that we have waived our rights against you and will not mean that you do not have to comply with those obligations.

     

    If we do waive a default by you, we will only do so in writing, and that will not mean that we will automatically waive any later default by you. We will not file a copy of the Contract between us.

    What is Converse By You?

    Converse allows you to express your own style by personalising select Converse products. Customise your product with a range of different colors, materials and even a Personalised ID.

    Customisable options vary by product. Converse Custom products are made to order and arrive in 3-4 weeks.

    What personal ID's are allowed on custom product?

    While we honour many Personal ID's, at times we must decline Personal ID's that may otherwise seem unobjectable.

    While designing products on Converse.com, you may find that certain Personal ID's are not allowed by receiving a message on the site that says "Sorry, the ID you entered does not fit within our guideline". When this happens, please enter a new ID.

    In other cases, your Personal ID may pass the initial on-site filter, but may be declined after manual review. In these instances, you will be notified via email.

    A Personal ID may be declined at Converse's sole discretion, including, but not limited to the following reasons: violation of a trademark or other intellectual property rights, profanity, or inappropriate slang.

    All Converse By You product returns are free. Please contact us in order to provide your return label.
    After completing your return and getting your return label, prepare your parcel and send your return to us.

    DEFECTIVE PRODUCT
    If your Converse By You product has a material or workmanship flaw, Converse will accept your returns if the order was purchased on Converse.com less than two years ago and inspectors confirm the product contains a flaw. Please include a letter with your online return explaining the issue.

    There is only 1 shipping option available for Converse By You orders. 
    Custom Product are built and shipped in the quickest fashion possible. The delivery time for Custom product is 3-4 weeks once the order is successfully processed.

    The gum rubber sole is usually implemented into sports shoes developed for indoor, hardcourt sports, such as squash, badminton, and tennis. There are some advantages to a gum rubber sole:

If the product was not purchased directly from Converse or an authorized Converse retailer, Converse cannot address specific questions about the product's authenticity.     Caution: When attempting to clean your Converse sneakers, please test the cleaning process on a section of the sneaker which is not visible, such as the outer edges of the tongue. This is to ensure that the mild soap used does not affect the color or material.

    Canvas: Using a damp cloth, rub gently with lukewarm water and mild soap. DO NOT MACHINE WASH OR DRY.

    Leather/Synthetic: Using a damp cloth, rub gently with lukewarm water and mild soap. DO NOT MACHINE WASH OR DRY.

    Suede: Brush away dirt with a suede brush, when dry. DO NOT USE WATER. DO NOT MACHINE DRY.

    Drying: Dry at room temperature, stuff with paper to help maintain their shape. Change paper occasionally throughout drying process. To prolong the life, DO NOT APPLY DIRECT HEAT.

    PLEASE READ THESE TERMS OF USE CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS WEBSITE. This website is operated by Converse Netherlands B.V, a company registered under the laws of the Netherlands and with its registered address at Colosseum 1, 1213 NL, The Netherlands (collectively, "us", "we" or "Converse"). By accessing or using Converse's websites or digital services (collectively the "Website") you signify that you have read, understand and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms of Use") and any other applicable law, whether or not you are a registered member of Converse. The Terms of Use (together with the documents referred to in them) tell you (i) the terms on which Converse supplies the products  listed on the Website including digital products (“Products”); and (ii) the terms of use of the Website. If you are between 16 and 18 years old, you must obtain your parent/guardian's permission to register for the Website, purchase Products from the Website and post User Generated Content (as described in Section B of these Terms of Use).

    Section A: Buying products from the website

    1             Information which Converse is required to give you

    A description of the main characteristics of the Products is contained on the Website.  Such a description will be contained in the Order Confirmation mentioned in paragraph 2.

    The price of Products (including delivery and packaging charges) and arrangements for payment is as described in paragraphs 8 and 9.

    The arrangements for delivery of Products are as shown at delivery page. By accepting these Terms of Use, you are agreeing to a later delivery date as specified in the link. Other details of delivery are set out in paragraph 10.

    You have a right of cancellation as set out in paragraph 5. 

    The technical means for concluding the contract to buy Products are set out in paragraph 2.  If you have made a mistake in inputting information, please click on the back arrow and you will be able to change it.

    2             Placing an order.

    The Website shopping pages will guide you through the steps you need to take to place an order.  All orders placed through the Website constitute an offer to buy the Product are subject to Converse's acceptance. In order to place an order on our Website, you must be 16 years of age or older and be a consumer i.e. an individual acting outside his or her business and not a reseller. If you are between 16 and 18 years old, you must obtain your parent/guardian's permission to register for the Website, purchase Products from the Website and post User Generated Content (as described in Section B of these Terms of Use). If we discover that you have misled us or you misrepresent your age we shall be entitled to delete your account without warning, terminate the contract between us and/or to pursue any legal remedies that Converse may have.

    You need an e-mail address to place an order, and you need to set your browser to accept both cookies and pop-ups in order to make full use of the Website, which includes designing items, adding items to your shopping cart and checking out from our stores.  You must also have Flash downloaded to design your own shoes.

    Placing an order on the Websites is easy.

    a)    Find the Product(s) you want

    b)    Add the Product(s) to your shopping cart.

    c)    Proceed to checkout.

    Review your order.
    Submit your order.
    Receive an online order confirmation (“Order Confirmation”).

    Once we have received your order, an automated confirmation of receipt will be displayed on the Website. Please note that this does not mean that your order has been accepted or that a contract has been made.  Converse will confirm acceptance to you by sending you an Order Confirmation by e-mail which confirms that Converse has accepted your order and that the Product is ready for or has been dispatched.  The contract between us (the “Contract”) will only be formed when Converse sends you the Order Confirmation. We strongly suggest that you print or download your Order Confirmation for future reference.

    We explicitly reserve the right not to accept your order, for any or no reason. If your credit card has already been charged for an order that is later cancelled, Converse will issue you a refund.

    The Order Confirmation will include the following information:

    ·                              description of the Product ordered;

    ·                              the price of the Product ordered (including delivery and any packaging charges), including all VAT and other taxes;

    ·                              confirmation of the arrangement for payment, delivery and performance of the order;

    ·                              details of your right to cancel the order and a model cancellation form;

    ·                              details of Converse’s legal duty to supply goods in conformity with the Terms of Use;

    ·                              Converse’s identity, address and contact details, and how you can complain; and

    ·                              any after-sales services and guarantees.

    The Contract will relate only to those Products whose dispatch (or readiness for despatch) Converse confirms in the Order Confirmation.  Converse will not be obliged to supply the remaining Products which may have been part of your order until the dispatch of such Products has been confirmed in a separate Order Confirmation.

    We also reserve the right to cancel any Contract in (amongst others) the following situations, without being liable for any damage or costs:

    ·                              the Product is not available / in stock (any payments already made will be refunded);

    ·                              your billing information is not correct or not verifiable;

    ·                              your order is flagged up by our security systems as an unusual order or an order susceptible to fraud;

    ·                              your bank transfer payment is not received within 12 calendar days after acceptance of your order;

    ·                              we have reason to believe you are under 16;

    ·                              we have reason to believe that you are a reseller;

    ·                              there was an error in the price quote;

    ·                              we could not deliver to the address provided by you.

    3             Risk and Title

    The Products will be at your risk from the time of delivery.

    Ownership of the Products will only pass to you when Converse receives full payment of all sums due in respect of the Products, including delivery charges.

    4             Data Check

    When you send us your order, we may run some checks on it before it is fulfilled. These checks may include verifying your address, creditworthiness, and checking for fraud. As to the latter: we run partly automated checks on all purchases to filter out unusual or suspect transactions, or transactions which can be identified as susceptible to fraud. Suspected fraud on the Website will be investigated and if necessary prosecuted. By submitting your order, you agree to this.

    5             Cancellations

    As you are contracting as a consumer, you have a statutory right to cancel a Contract if you change your mind for any reason. The provisions below set out your legal right to cancel. Further advice about your legal right to cancel the Contract is available from your local Citizens Advice Bureau or Trading Standards office.

    You may cancel the Contract at any time from the date of the Order Confirmation up to the end of the 14th day after the day of receipt of the Product by you or the person specified by you for delivery. If the Contract is for multiple Products which are delivered on separate days, you have until the end of the 14th day after the day of receipt of the last Product which is part of the order to cancel the Contract for any of the Products.

    For example: if you receive an Order Confirmation on 1 January and you receive a Product on 10 January, you may cancel at any time between 1 January and the end of the day on 24 January.

    To cancel the Contract, you must inform us of your intention to cancel the Contract. The easiest way to do so is to complete the cancellation form available in the Schedule at the end of these Terms of Use which will also have been provided with the Order Confirmation.  If you use this method Converse will email you to confirm it has received your cancellation. Alternatively, you can email us at helpme.europe@converse.com.  If you send us your cancellation notice by email or by post, then your cancellation is effective from the date you send us the email or post the letter to us.

     

    If you exercise the right, you will receive a full refund of the price paid for the Products in accordance with Converse’s refunds policy (set out below). When exercising the cancellation right, you must return the Products to us immediately (as set out below).

    You are entitled to a reasonable opportunity to inspect the Products (which will include removing them from their packaging and trying them on).  At all times, you must take reasonable care of the Products and must not let them out of your possession.  If you are in breach of your obligations to take reasonable care in this paragraph, Converse will have a claim against you and may deduct from the refund costs incurred by us as a result of the breach.

    Details of this statutory right, and an explanation of how to exercise it, are also provided in the Order Confirmation.  This provision does not affect your statutory rights.

    The cancellation right described in this paragraph is in addition to any other right that you might have to reject the Products, for instance because they are faulty or misdescribed as set out in paragraph 6 below.

    6             Returns

    As explained above, orders for Bespoke Products cannot be cancelled. You are however entitled to return your order in accordance with the return procedures and conditions below.

    Returning orders after delivery – defectives

    You are entitled to return Products (including Bespoke Products) delivered to you in the event that they are defective or otherwise do not conform to the quantity, quality, standards or description shown on your Order Confirmation when you received them. You can do so within 6 months after you notice the defect. This does not affect your statutory rights. In the event your claim is justified, the purchase price and the shipping costs will be refunded without deduction. For practical information on how to return Products, visit our help section.

    Returning orders after delivery – for any other reason

    If you are for whatever reason not happy with the Products you ordered, you may return the Products delivered to you within thirty (30) calendar days after delivery, without giving us any reason, as long as:

    ·                              the Products are unwashed and not used in any way (you are allowed to try garments or shoes on for fit, unless we have indicated otherwise - but you cannot wear them);

    ·                              the Product is in its original, undamaged packaging (a carefully opened package will not be considered damaged);

    ·                              the Product is complete: e.g. both items of a pair must be returned;

    ·                              the Product has not been tampered with.

    7             Our Refunds Policy

    When you return a Product to Converse, a refund will be issued as follows: 

    Right of Cancellation exercised: where you have validly returned a Product under your right of cancellation described in paragraph 5, Converse will refund the full amount paid by you for the Product, including the cost of delivery to you.  Please also note that Converse is permitted by law to reduce your refund to reflect any reduction in the value of the Product, if this has been caused by your handling them in a way contrary to the conditions specified in these terms or which would not be permitted in a shop. If Converse refunds you the price paid before it was able to inspect the Product and later discovers you have handled it in an unacceptable way, you must pay Converse an appropriate amount. 

    Defective Products: where you have validly returned a Product to Converse because it is defective or for some other reason for which Converse is responsible, Converse will inspect the Product and, where that Product is defective, either repair or replace the Product or, if not possible, refund the full amount paid by you for the Product together with any applicable delivery charges and the reasonable cost incurred by you in returning the Product.

    Other returns: where you have returned a Product in circumstances other than as set out above (which includes rejecting a non-defective Product outside the cancellation period), any repair, replacement or refund (in that order) will be at Converse’s discretion. If Converse does agree to provide a repair, replacement or refund, Converse will not refund the cost of delivery to you and Converse will not reimburse the cost incurred by you in returning the Product.

    Converse will process any refund due to you within the deadlines below:

    if you have received the Product and Converse has not offered to collect it from you: 14 days after the day on which Converse receives the Product back from you or, if earlier, the day on which you provide us with evidence that you have sent the Product back to us; or
    if you have not received the Product or you have received it and Converse has offered to collect it from you: 14 days after you inform us of your decision to cancel the Contract.

    Converse will refund you using the same means of payment that you used for the transaction.

    Legal ownership of a Product will immediately revert to Converse if Converse refunds any such payment to you.

    Returning gifts

    You may return a gift as long as you have the original order number.  See the above Returns paragraph for details.

    8             Payment methods

    We accept the following forms of payment: PayPal, American Express, Visa and Mastercard. Use of third party payment providers e.g. PayPal is subject to that third party provider’s own terms and conditions and privacy policy. There are links to these from the PayPal payment pages. You can find out more about PayPal at their website http://www.paypal.co.uk.  

    9             Prices and currency

    The Product prices displayed on the Websites are inclusive of Value-Added Tax. Shipping rates are applied per order. Prices are quoted in GBP.

    The total price specified in the final check out screen includes tax and shipping costs. The prices are quoted in the Order Confirmation, which you can print or download for future reference. If paying by credit card, the total amount for your entire order will be reflected on your statement in your local currency.

    Please transfer only the exact amount specified on the Order Confirmation, and make individual transfers per order, using the unique reference number stated in your order confirmation.

    Price changes

    The product prices displayed on the Websites may be subject to change. We reserve the right to change prices without notice. Subject to the paragraph on Pricing Errors below, the prices as displayed at the moment of purchase are the prices applicable to that purchase.

    Pricing errors

    Please note that even though the Websites are composed with care, it is possible that the pricing information on our Websites contain errors. We are not bound by our offer and we reserve the right to cancel your purchase in the event of such error.

    10           Delivery

    Your order will be fulfilled by the delivery date set out in the Order Confirmation or, if no delivery date is specified, then within 30 days of the date of your order, unless there are exceptional circumstances. If a Product (or substitute product) is unavailable so that Converse cannot deliver it to you within 30 days of your order, Converse will contact you and either agree a later delivery date or permit you to cancel the Contract, in which case Converse will refund all monies paid in accordance with Converse’s refunds policy.

    Shipping Information

    Standard orders are shipped directly from our warehouse in Germany. Tracking is provided and will be sent to the email address you provided when you placed the order.

    Our shipping method to the UK is via ParcelForce. We will not deliver to P.O., APO, or FPO Boxes.

    Order processing only allows an order to be delivered to one delivery address.

    You should inspect the Products within a reasonable time after their receipt. Upon delivery, please inspect the packaging for damage. If it appears that the Products are damaged, please do not accept the shipment. We will refund the purchase price and all delivery costs as soon as the warehouse has handled your return.

    11           BESPOKE PRODUCTS

    For most Bespoke Products, you can submit a combination of letters, spaces and numbers to form an ID – a personalized message that appears on your creation. While we honor most IDs, we cannot honor all of them. Some may contain trade marks or intellectual property rights of third parties, or the names of certain professional sports teams, athletes or celebrities that you (or Converse) does not have the right to use. Others may contain material that we consider inappropriate or simply do not want to place on our Products. Unfortunately, at times this means that we may decline IDs that may otherwise seem unobjectionable. If your ID is, in our sole opinion, unacceptable, your order may be immediately rejected or your purchase will be cancelled at a later stage – if so, you will be notified by e-mail. Converse reserves the right to reject any ID’s after they have been submitted to Converse.

    12           Consumer acknowledgements relating to customisation

    Both your design of the Bespoke Product (the color combination etc) and the personalization shall be created by yourself, or, to the extent this is not the case, you hereby guarantee that you are authorised to use the design or the personalisation created by someone else.

    Please understand that whilst we have the right to decline your personalisation or your design, you are solely responsible for your design and personalisation, and we have no obligation to review or decline your design and personalisation.

    You agree that Converse will own all intellectual property rights in the design or personalisation of your Bespoke Products and/or ID. By submitting the design or personalisation of your Bespoke Products and/or ID to Converse, you transfer all intellectual property rights in the Bespoke Products and/or ID that automatically vest in you by operation of law to Converse. To the extent such transfer is not valid, you grant to Converse an exclusive, fully paid, perpetual, royalty free licence to use your design and personalization in the widest sense of the word, including but not limited to copy, edit, modify, publicly display, digitize, reproduce and distribute, and to sublicense (parts of) this right as we see fit.

    You agree and understand that you shall have no claim against Converse or any other party in the event a design or personalization and/or ID similar to yours is used or designed. We expect you to follow the same rules in respect of the design or personalisation of your Bespoke Products and/or ID that apply to User Generated Content as set out in paragraph 16a below.

     

    SECTION B: WEBSITE TERMS OF USE

    13           Website Use Restrictions

    You may use the Website only for your own non-commercial use to participate in the Website or to place an order or purchase the Products. Any other use is prohibited unless agreed to by Converse in writing. You agree not to change or delete any ownership notices from materials downloaded or printed from the Website. You agree not to modify, copy, translate, broadcast, perform, display, distribute, frame, reproduce, republish, download, display, post, transmit or sell any intellectual property or content appearing on the Website, including User Generated Content (defined below), without Converse's prior written consent, unless it is your own User Generated Content that you legally post on the Website. You agree not to use any data mining, robots, scraping or similar data gathering methods. Nothing in these Terms of Use shall be interpreted as granting any licence of intellectual property rights to you.

    14           Safeguard Your Username/Password

    You are responsible for any actions that take place while using your Converse account. Keep your username/password secure and do not allow anyone else to use your username/password to access the Website. You agree to notify Converse immediately of any unauthorized use of your Converse account. Converse is not responsible for any loss that results from the unauthorized use of your username/password, with or without your knowledge.

    15           Intellectual Property

    As between you and us, all intellectual property in the Products and the Bespoke Products which subsists now or at any time in the future shall without limitation vest in and be the absolute property of us.

    All intellectual property on the Website is owned by Converse or its licensors, which includes materials protected by copyright, trademark, or patent laws. All trademarks, service marks and trade names (e.g., the CONVERSE name, the Star and Chevron Design and the Chuck Taylor Ankle Patch) are trademarks or registered trademarks of Converse.

    16           User Generated Content

    "User Generated Content" is communications, materials, information, opinions, photos, profiles, messages, notes, website links, text information, music, videos, designs, graphics, sounds, and any other content that you and/or other Website users publish, display, upload, disclose, transmit, store, share or otherwise make available ("post") on or through the Website, except to the extent the content is owned by Converse.

    a. Posting Rules: User Generated Content and User Conduct

    Be Responsible.

    You are solely responsible for your User Generated Content, your interactions with other users and your activity on the Website. Do not take any action or post anything that may expose Converse or its users to any harm or liability of any type.

    Be Relevant and Constructive.

    Stay on topic and post only constructive comments and questions. Unless the Website feature asks for it, don't talk about policies, future products, speculations or rumors about Converse and Converse products, or anything else off topic.

    Be Courteous and Appropriate.

    Flaming and insults are prohibited. Do not post User Generated Content, or a link to a website, that, in Converse's sole discretion, is illegal, offensive, libelous, defamatory, infringing, inflammatory, deceptive, inaccurate, misleading, malicious, fraudulent, false, indecent, harmful, harassing, intimidating, threatening, hateful, abusive, vulgar, obscene, pornographic, violent, sexually explicit, invasive of privacy, publicity, intellectual property, proprietary or contractual rights, offensive in a sexual, racial, cultural, or ethnic context, will harm or threaten the safety of others, or is otherwise objectionable.     Be Private.

    Do not post personal information, including your email address, IM address, or phone number.     Be Yourself.

    Be Original.

    You promise that you own or control all rights in any User Generated Content that you post on the Website. You are responsible for ensuring that any User Generated Content that you post does not, and will not, infringe or violate anyone else's rights, including copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, privacy, publicity or other personal or proprietary rights. You promise not to submit User Generated Content unless you are the owner or have permission from the owner to post such User Generated Content and grant Converse all of the license rights granted in these Terms of Use.

    Be Legal.

    Do not post any User Generated Content, take any action or use the Website in a way that violates any law, would create liability or promotes illegal activities. Do not take any action on the Website designed to interfere, disrupt, damage, disable, overburden or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware, telecommunications equipment or the Website. Do not post User Generated Content that contains software viruses, programs or other computer code. Do not circumvent or modify any Website security technology or software.

    b. General Rules for User Generated Content

    User Generated Content is Not Prescreened

    Converse does not guarantee to prescreen User Generated Content. Converse does not guarantee the Website will be free from User Generated Content that is inaccurate, deceptive, offensive, threatening, defamatory, unlawful or otherwise objectionable. Converse is merely acting as a passive channel for such distribution and is not undertaking any obligation or liability relating to any User Generated Content or activities of users on the Website. You grant, and warrant that you have the right to grant, to Converse a non-exclusive, non-revocable, worldwide, transferable, royalty-free, perpetual right to use your User Generated Content in any manner or media now or later developed, for any purpose, commercial, advertising, or otherwise, including the right to translate, display, reproduce, change, create derivative works, sublicense, distribute, assign and commercialize without any payment due to you.

    Complaints

    Immediately notify Converse in writing of any objectionable content appearing on the Website. Converse will make good faith efforts to investigate allegations that any User Generated Content violates these Terms of Use but makes no promise that it will edit or remove any specific User Generated Content.

    Copyright Infringement Complaints

    We respect the intellectual property rights of others and we prohibit users from posting on the Converse Website any content that violates another party’s intellectual property rights. If you believe that your work has been improperly copied and posted on the website, please us know.

Converse does not endorse, monitor or have any control over these linked websites, which have separate terms of use and privacy policies. Converse is not responsible for the content or policies of linked websites and you access such websites at your own risk.

    18           Published Activity

    Converse allows you the option to publish about the actions you take on Converse’s Website to Facebook, Twitter and other social platforms. Converse does not control which information gets disseminated on participating social platforms. You agree to allow Converse to check your Converse cookies when you are visiting participating social platforms, and allow Converse to receive information about your use of those social platforms.

    19           Indemnification

    You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Converse, its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors and suppliers from and against all claims, losses, liabilities, expenses, damages and costs, including, without limitation, attorneys’ fees, arising from or relating in any way to your User Generated Content, your use of content on the Website, your use of the Website, your conduct in connection with the Website or with other Website users, or any violation of these Terms of Use, any law or the rights of any third party.

    Our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms of Use by this reference, further describes the collection and use of information on this Website.

    21           User Interaction Disclaimer

    You are solely responsible for your interactions with other Website users, whether online or offline in person. Converse is not responsible or liable for any loss or damage resulting from any interaction with other Website users or persons you meet through the Website. You agree to take reasonable precautions in all interactions with other users on the Website, whether online or offline, and conduct any necessary investigation before meeting another person.     - fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
    - any other loss which cannot be excluded by applicable law.

    The maximum reimbursement of the above damages will (if applicable) be the purchase price of the Products concerned. We shall not be liable for damage incurred by a third party resulting from the use of any of our Products. We shall not be liable for damage incurred by you as a result of your improper use of any of our Products.

    We are not liable for damages as a result of incorrect information on the Websites.

    24           Termination

    Converse reserves the right in its sole discretion to terminate your account, delete your profile and any of your User Generated Content, and restrict your use of all or any part of the Website for any or no reason, without notice, and without liability to you or anyone else. Converse also reserves the right to block users from certain IP addresses and prevent access to the Website. You may terminate your account at anytime by clicking the “deactivate account” button in the Account Settings. You understand and agree that some of your User Generated Content, such as that which is displayed outside your profile, in activity feeds, in other parts of the Website, or on other social platforms (e.g., Facebook and Twitter), may continue to appear on the Website or on other social platforms even after your User Generated Content is removed or your account is terminated. These Terms of Use remain in effect even after your account is terminated.

    26           Severability

If any provision in these Terms of Use is deemed unlawful, void or unenforceable, then that provision is deemed severable from these Terms of Use and the remaining provisions are still valid and enforceable.

    27           WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS AND NOTICES

    We will mainly communicate with each other electronically, such as by email.  Applicable laws may require that some of the information or communications Converse send to you should be in writing, for which purpose we both agree that electronic communications will suffice.  This paragraph does not affect your statutory rights.

    All notices given by you must be given in writing and delivered by email.  Notices to you may be given to the email address or the invoice address provided when you placed your order.

    28           EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL

    Neither of us shall be liable to the other for any delay or non performance of its respective obligations under the Terms of Use to the extent that performance is interrupted or prevented by any act or omission beyond its reasonable control.  This paragraph does not affect your statutory rights and in particular Converse’s obligation to perform the Contract within 30 days of order as set out in paragraph ‎10.

    Such delay or non-performance will not be a breach of the Contract and the time for performance will be extended by the period during which performance is prevented. 

    29           Variations

    Converse may change these Terms of Use at any time without notice, effective upon its posting to the Website. You agree to review these Terms of Use regularly to make yourself aware of any changes. Your continued use of the Website shall be considered your acceptance to the revised Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these Terms of Use, please do not use this Website.

    In relation to Products, you will be subject to the policies and terms in force at the time that you order Products from us, unless any change to those policies or these terms is required to be made by law or governmental authority (in which case it will apply to orders previously placed by you), or if Converse notifies you of the change to those policies or these terms before Converse sends you the Order Confirmation (in which case Converse has the right to assume that you have accepted the change to the terms, unless you notify us to the contrary within seven working days of receipt by you of the Products).

    30           WAIVER

    If either of us does not insist upon strict performance of any of the other’s obligations under the Contract or any of these terms, or if either of us does not exercise any of the rights or remedies to which Converse is entitled under the Contract, this shall not constitute a waiver of such rights or remedies and shall not relieve the other of us from compliance.

    31           LAW AND JURISDICTION

    Contracts for the purchase of Products through the Website will be governed by English law.  Any dispute arising from, or related to, such Contracts shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

  • Supply Chain Disclosure

    The California Transparency in Supply Chains Act requires us to disclose our efforts to eradicate slavery and human trafficking from our direct supply chains. We take seriously the federal and international efforts to end all kinds of forced labour – whether in the form of prison labour, indentured labour, bonded labour, human trafficking or otherwise – through standards set forth in our Code of Conduct, originally established by Nike, and subsequently adopted by our affiliated companies, including the section “Employment is Voluntary”.

    Supply Chain Verification.

    Our policy is to evaluate potential contracted factories before they enter our supply chain to assess compliance with standards including country-related risk for issues including forced labour, human trafficking and slavery. We use both internal and external third-party audits.

    Supplier Audits.

    We monitor contracted factories’ adherence to our standards through internal and external audits, as well as independent, third-party audits through the Fair Labour Association. Each year we monitor a subset of our contract factories base.

    Direct Suppliers’ Certification of Materials.

    We are working on mapping and understanding impacts further up the supply chain, to develop standards for upstream suppliers of our contracted manufacturers.

    Standards for Compliance.

    If a contracted factory is found to violate laws or our standards, it is responsible for improving performance against a master action plan. If the factory fails to make progress against that plan, they are subject to review and sanctions, including potential termination.

    Training.

    Employees and management with direct responsibility for supply chain management are provided training on forced labour, including human trafficking and slavery.

    To maintain focus and achieve greater impact through corporate giving, Converse does not provide charitable support for:

    What is #CreateAtHome?

    Right now, most of us are at home and many are facing unprecedented circumstances as it relates to work. We’ve been so inspired by the creativity that has been shared and want to help that DIY-spirit continue, because we know that no matter the circumstance, creativity can’t be stopped.

    #CreateAtHome is the first phase of a new long-term brand campaign, and a new way of Converse working together with our creative, basketball and skateboarding communities to make content for our social channels. Inspired by the adoption of our products around the world and across cultures, we aim to be the canvas of your creative progress.

    We’ll do that by showcasing the creativity you share with the #CreateAtHome hashtag on @Converse, @Conversehoops and/or @Converse_Cons, while reaching out to select creators, designers and marketers to work with us on more formal brand projects.


    What type of creative work are you commissioning?

    We are focused on commissioning brand marketing work across our social platforms: with a focus on Instagram, Twitter and TikTok.

    This includes, but is not limited to:

    • - Product and lifestyle photography,
    • - Video production,
    • - Visual design,
    • - 3D-animation
    • - Graphic design.

    Who can submit? Do I have to be a professional creative to offer a submission?

    Anyone can submit.


    What are the parameters? Are there specific mediums we must create with?

    To start engaging with Converse and our creative, basketball and skateboarding communities - there are no parameters on the mediums you create with - just share them with #CreateAtHome and tag Converse. We’re inspired by you, and all the ways you’re creating progress through your work and want to share it with our community.


    How do I submit to #CreateAtHome with Converse?

    It’s simple, on social you can simply use the #CreateAtHome hashtag and tag @Converse.


    I submitted work to #CreateAtHome, when will I be notified on my submission?

    Our primary objective is to connect our communities through creativity with #CreateAtHome.

    We’re also focused on showcasing the creativity shared to the #CreateAtHome hashtag on @Converse, @Conversehoops and/or @Converse_Cons, while reaching out to select creators, designers and marketers to work with us on more formal brand projects.

    Do my creations have to use Converse products or the Converse logo?

    If you love Converse and you’ve got a product on-hand - we’d love to see how you use it. However, it is not a requirement to start connecting with us and other creatives via #CreateAtHome.


    What if I want to submit a product design for Converse to consider?

    While we love to see your product concepts and ideas, unfortunately, we do not accept external product designs.


    If my work is chosen, how will it be promoted?

    We’re focused on showcasing the creativity shared to the #CreateAtHome hashtag on @Converse, @Conversehoops and/or @Converse_Cons, while reaching out to select creators, designers and marketers to work with us on more formal brand projects.


    If my work is chosen, will I be commissioned for that design or will I be asked to create something new in the future?

    We’re focused on showcasing the creativity shared to the #CreateAtHome hashtag on @Converse, @Conversehoops and/or @Converse_Cons, while reaching out to select creators, designers and marketers to work with us on more formal brand projects.

    Those brand projects will be issued a formal brief from Converse.


    If my work is chosen, will I be paid for the content that is used?

    If your work is chosen to be posted on Converse’s social channels, we will reach out for your approval and provide appropriate credits.

    If we reach out with an ask to work with us on a marketing project based on your contribution to #CreateAtHome, all creative work will absolutely be compensated for.


    Is this a contest?

    No. This is a new way of sharing your creativity with others connected to our brand and a more fluid way of working directly with Converse. It is also a way for us to provide opportunities to support our creative communities.


    Are there any other prizes?

    We’re focused on showcasing the creativity shared to the #CreateAtHome hashtag on @Converse, @Conversehoops and/or @Converse_Cons, while reaching out to select creators, designers and marketers to work with us on more formal brand projects.

    Along the way, we’ll provide access to Converse collaborators and products. You can expect a few surprises when that time comes.


    Do I need to be over 18 to participate?

    You do not need to be over 18 to create and share to #CreateAtHome.
